Présentation : I am currently upadting my Disk System module with a CDFS better known as ISO 9660 and RawFS driver. For this, I am enhancing the whole disk mounting in my drive management module. Previously only the partitions of the boot drive were mounted, but all drives will be added to the Drive Stack excerpt from the descriptor 0Ah byte Drive Drive Type 'N' NTFS 12 FAT12 'P' raw partition 16 FAT16 'H' raw hard disk 32 FAT32 'R' RawFS 'C' CDFS So this means I am pushing now on the drive stack - hard disks for raw sector IO - partitions for raw sector IO - NTFS file systems - FAT file systems all types - CDFS - RawFS This means OpenFile can now also open handles to raw drives and partitions. From my removable-media boot code I will take the drive recognition check all drives from 00h 256 - 00h...7Fh Floppy Drives and ARMD ATAPI Removable Media Device - 80h...9Fh Hard Disks USB SCSI other hard drives - A0h... general CD DVD ROM not emulated drives it's not defined by standard which drive number is assigned to removable drives however 'Enhanced Disk Drive Services - 3' says A common industry number is A0h. So I will check now all BIOS drives. My drive manager currently provides few functions, one for mounting all drives, OpenFile, ReadFile, SeekFile and WriteFile. Another change will be now release and debug versions of all modules, I had previously only one makefile make.bat , and I will create now 2 debug.bat and release.bat - the first one will compile it with _DEBUG defined. I will exclude unnecessary und debug messages from the public release. It allows me then better deployment.
