How to secure your mobile device Par Hack In The BoxLe [2009-06-22] à 04:24:13
Présentation : IN my last article I promised to provide solutions on fixing the telecommunications industry in Zimbabwe. It’s a promise I am going to keep, but from the overwhelming response received, I thought it would be unfair if I did not exhaust the leads and suggestions provided. This week I look at something that we all seem to take for granted, that is mobile device security. More importantly, have you ever considered how much risk is posed by devices like laptops, PDAs, flash drives, CD/DVDs, cellphones and Blackberries? Employees and high-profile individuals are travelling with sensitive corporate information on a daily basis. We are all familiar with the theft of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s laptop in South Africa last year. When a mobile device is lost, the cost is not just to replace the hardware but the overall cost of protecting data residing on the device.
