Patchguard est une protection pour le noyau dont le rôle est de protéger les zones dites sensibles du système d’exploitation. Blue Pill ou le malware présenté comme « 100% indétectable » par virtualisation des rootkits. Sandman est une librairie pour contrôler les fichiers d’hibernation des systèmes Microsoft Windows.
